Al-Shabab Had Burnt Bakara Market, Minister Says
Somalia — Sheik Yusuf Mohamed Siad better known as (Inda'adde), has held press conference in Mogadishu and said that Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen officials were behind the fire at Bakara market .
The recent huge fire at Mogadishu's Bakara market, the city's biggest, reportedly caused a loss of more than $10,000 dollars and 300 fuel barrels, according to initial figures, though it could be more than the amount mentioned.
The minister had disproved the statement of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen that the inferno was behind by what they described the enemy of the Somali people saying that the transitional government was responsible the fire.
Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen officials had held press conference in Bakara market mainly the burned section recently and said that the fire was behind by the people they pointed out they were against interest of the Somali people.
The minister said that Bakara market is in the areas under the control of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen stressing that they were those who were the mastermind of the inferno that devastated more properties of the Somali businessmen who had had a businesses of petroleum to the sections of the market where fire was set to.
The statement comes as the officials of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen said that people against the properties of the Somalis had committed the action and set the fire which caused the loss of more properties.(From allafrica.com -click here to go to the source)
