February 7, 2010 (KHARTOUM) — Joint Special Representative (JSR) of the African Union and the United Nations, Ibrahim Gambari will travel to Doha on Monday for talks with the chief mediator of Darfur peace process and the Qatari officials.

The newly appointed head of the hybrid peacekeeping operation, Gambari, recently described the UNAMID as "the first mission where you have a peacekeeping mission without peace to keep". He further added that making peace in Darfur tops his priorities.

Somalia — Sheik Yusuf Mohamed Siad better known as (Inda'adde), has held press conference in Mogadishu and said that Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen officials were behind the fire at Bakara market .

The recent huge fire at Mogadishu's Bakara market, the city's biggest, reportedly caused a loss of more than $10,000 dollars and 300 fuel barrels, according to initial figures, though it could be more than the amount mentioned.
